DMMC's Model Team Members

Every year, the management of Daniel O. Mercado Medical Center faces the difficult task of identifying DMMC’s Model Employee and Department Head of the year. For 2008, the Selection Committee of the Mancom was
again confronted with the same dilemma. However, after a series of deliberations, the committee was able to identify the team members who have exerted extraordinary efforts in pursuing the objectives of the organization and who have shown exemplary commitment and dedication to the hospital. In recognition thereof, plaques of recognition and cash prizes were given to the deserving awardees, last June 26, 2008, during the hospital’s 51st Foundation Anniversary celebration.
The recipient of the Model Employee Award is Ms. Anelyn B. Lim of the Laboratory Department. Ms. Lim has obtained a consistent outstanding rating for the last two performance evaluations.
As a model employee, she has always followed all the hospital policies by heart as proven by her “zero DA” (Disciplinary Action) record.
She has also been an active contender and awardee of the Perfect Attendance Incentive Program of the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Model Department Head of the Year Award was given to Ms. Marigay F. Mendoza, whose exceptional leadership has helped the Laboratory Department in exceeding its revenue and profit targets for 2007. Ms. Gay, as she is fondly called, has served the hospital for almost nine (9) years since July 1999. Like her Model Employee counterpart, Ms. Mendoza has never committed any infraction within the evaluation period. She has not committed even petty offenses like tar-
diness, which is quite a difficult challenge for most department heads who are simultaneously holding staff functions while performing administrative work.

This year’s 51st Foundation Anniversary Theme– Full Drive, Double in Five - was highlighted by the Annual Employee Awards held last June 26, 2008 at the EMMP Concessionaires Area. The first set of awards was the Service Award which recognized the employees longevity in the service and dedication they put in their work.
The second set of awards was the Perfect Attendance Award which were given to employees who made the extra-effort to be on duty at all times and when needed.
