The Dream Team

The DMMC Basketball Team, consisting of employees from different departments, participated in the 5th Saint Joseph Bakhita Basketball Goodwill Games which started in November 2008. The tournament games, participated in by cagers from major hospitals in Tanauan City and Lipa City, were held every Sunday at the Canossa Basketball Gym in Canossa Lipa City.

The DMMC team battled different squads from Mediatrix, Metro Lipa, NL Villa, CP Reyes, Jesus of Nazareth, and Our Lady of Caysasay. Despite player injuries and lack of practice, the DMMC players had showed their championship potential and had proven they could compete and prevail over other veteran teams.

The DMMC Team had earned the respect of their opponents with their “run and gun “ game and its great fighting spirit. Forget Kobe Bryant or Lebron James, the DMMC cagers had come of age! The heart of champions will always be there! Go Team DMMC !
